The Museum of the City of Jaworzno was founded in 1972, together with the Social Organizing Committee of the Regional Museum. The exhibits consist mainly of works of art and material culture objects directly related to the city and the entire Jaworzno region.
These include photographs and documents related to the history of the city, costumes, work tools, household appliances and equipment for living rooms. The mining exhibition is also available to visitors - uniforms, maps, measuring instruments, lamps and many other elements.
Two separate departments are responsible for the permanent exhibition - historical and ethnographic. Various temporary exhibitions also regularly appear there. The Jaworzno City Museum organizes many competitions dedicated mainly to enthusiasts of local culture and history, as well as schoolchildren.
