The Museum of Polish Post, which is one of the branches of the Historical Museum of the City of Gdańsk, is more than just a collection of documents and memorabilia related to mail activity. This particular institution was set up in memory of the defenders of the Polish Post from the Second World War - the museum collects exhibits that bear witness to the patriotic activity of Gdansk.
War activities in 1939 strongly affected the city of Gdansk - in the midst of the besieged buildings was the Polish Post and Telegraph Office No. 1. His defense became a symbol of resistance against the Nazi armies.
At the Museum of Polish Post, we managed to collect printed and iconographic documents, manuscripts and other memorabilia after the restless times of the Polish Post. You can find information about defenders and their families and about the fate of the city of Gdańsk during the war.
