Opened in 2017, the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk is a memory place of war victims which presents the history of World War II. It's located in the exceptionally modern building and shows the origins, course, and consequences of the war in a form of permanent, outdoor and temporary exhibitions, and numerous didactic activities.
Located in the underground of the museum, the main exhibition covers the area of almost 5000m2 and is one of the largest history exhibits in the world. It consists of almost 2000 display units such as photographs, maps, documents or different types of souvenirs. The exhibit is complemented by modern multimedia stands.The Museum of the Second World Wal in Gdańsk also contains the outdoor exhibition situated on Westerplatte peninsula.
