Sliding bridge

In Darlowo there is the only bridge in Poland. This is a very interesting and unique tourist attraction. It is open at every full hour, and at the request of the Harbor Master. Interesting object is also the control tower located next to it. It has a very original shape, so many people call it "UFO" or "Donald Duck".

The present sliding bridge links Darłowo Wschodnie with West Darlowo, which separates Wieprz river. It was built on the site of a 17th century wooden drawbridge, which underwent numerous renovations and was used until the 70s of the last century. It was demolished in 1977, and in 1988 the present bridge was opened. It is only available for pedestrians.
