Habsburg Palace in Cieszyn

Local name: Pałac Myśliwski Habsburgów

Habsburg Palace in Cieszyn is one of the most impressive buildings in the city. The residence was built in 1840 on the request of Charles I of Austria and served as a summer palace for the Habsburg Family. After the renovation, it's one of the biggest tourist attractions in Cieszyn.

Situated at the foot of Zamkowa Mountain, the palace was built in Vienna's classicist style according to the design of the then famous architect - Joseph Kornhäusel. The building has three floors and multiaxial decorative facades.

The palace can be admired from the outside. The interior is occupied by Cieszyn Castle Institution which supports Silesian entrepreneurs and investors. It shares the space with musical school operating since 1947.
