The Town Hall in Chojnice is the neo-gothic heart of the city. Attention is drawn to modernist decorations and carved heads supporting the bay window. Interesting are the bas-reliefs located at the windows, presenting craft and trade emblems. On the front wall you can find the coat of arms of Chojnice, Pomerania and Poland, as well as the smaller neighboring towns, which were represented by Chojnice on the sejmmikach.
The town hall in Chojnice is the third such building in the history of the city. The first town hall from the 14th century was adapted by the Protestants, which contributed to the construction of another building, already in Baroque style. Its destructive state forced the city authorities to erect the current headquarters. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century according to the design of the Berlin architects. So far, we can admire the original stained-glass windows of the Meeting Room, chandeliers and paneling.
