Museum of Photography

The museum exhibition gives a unique opportunity to get know the history of photography and to learn about antique photographic equipment. The museum organizes vernissages, competitions, workshops, and photo shows. Thanks to darkroom of museum and atelier, it is possible for museum to present photography history interactively.

In the collection there are already over 2635 exhibits related to photography throughout history, since the beginning of its existence to modern times. Visitors can see cameras, projectors, magnifiers, professional equipment of the photographer's workshop, as well as thematic literature. The pearls of the collection are: a camera from the 19th century and a wooden magnifier that is 90 years old.

The photographic collection was created as a result of gathering gifts of private persons and institutions. Besides collecting, presenting, and protecting memorabilia, the museum carries out great educational and animation activities. The facility is located in a historic 19th-century carriage-house that has been renovated and adapted for museum functions.
