Arthropoda Butterfly Museum

Local name: Muzeum Motyli Arthropoda

Arthropoda Butterfly Museum is a private facility consisting of about 5 thousand specimens of butterflies, dragonflies, cicadas, mantises, and beetles from every continent (except Antarctica).

The museum was established in 2009 by Filip Kobiela. The collection is based on specimens Jacek Kobiela gathered since the 1970s. He acquired them during his travels around the world. Part of them was bought from other entomologists.

The exhibition of butterflies is divided into continents, families, and species. They are described according to the Linnaean system. The museum also organizes workshops and thematic meetings.
