Centre of Ludwik Zamenhof in Białystok is a cultural centre where you can learn about the life and output of the initiator of Esperanto, and also the history of the city itself and the region. Visitors have the opportunity to become acquainted with the permanent exhibition titled "Białystok of the young Zamenhof" and with numerous temporary exhibitions.
Discussions, lectures, film screenings, theatrical performances, concerts and literary promotions are organized there on a regular basis. Open activities that take place in the centre are based on games that make it effortless to understand the content.In the facility was founded Esperanto-Libraro. It is the first public library in Poland where you can find books in Esperanto. The initiative of the creation of the Centre was a desire of intercultural education and the presentation of the history of the region.The centre of dialogue and intercultural education is located in a tenement house, which in 2008 was incorporated into the Jewish Heritage Trail in Bialystok, and a year later to the Esperanto Trail.Less
