Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy

Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bialystok is a place where you can learn about the history of medicine, see for yourself how old was the field hospital and visit a pharmacy from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The object was placed in the right wing of the Branicki Palace. As there is a Medical University at the palace, there are also exhibitions presenting the history of this institution and the everyday life of the first students.
Exhibits that were presented in the museum were collected in Podlasie for decades. You can see objects that used to be in every pharmacy, such as scales, thermometers, scans, tin bowls, pharmacy books, university textbooks, and magazines. An interesting book is also a recipe book. Recipes for toothpaste or ointment for freckles.
In addition to the exhibits on pharmacy and the history of the university, the museum also features exhibits devoted to the history of dentistry, gynecology, radiology and ophthalmology.
The oldest exhibits are from the 18th century, but most of the items come from the 19th and the first half of the 20th century.
