The Norwegian Technical Museum (Norsk Teknisk Museum) in Oslo presents the stages of development of technical sciences over the centuries. You can see here, among others Rolls Royce model from the early 20th century, motorhomes popular in Norway, as well as a balloon. Aviation enthusiasts will love the original Caravelle passenger plane (late 1950s and early 1960s). The exhibition is largely interactive, visitors can conduct interesting experiments themselves.
Permanent exhibitions concern industry, transport and aviation, development of various industries, medicine and energy production. There is also a section devoted to crude oil, its production, extraction, properties and use.
The contemporary museum building was designed by the architect Rolf Ramm Østgaard, officially opened in May 1986. It is located in the Kjelsås district. In addition to the permanent exhibition, you can also see interesting temporary exhibitions.
