Star Dorjan is a village on the shores of Lake Dorjan, right on the border with Greece. is a popular Macedonian tourist destination with a beach, several hotels and a bustling promenade.
The city is one of the remains of Dorjan that existed until World War I. It was razed to the ground in 1918 as a result of artillery fire. The village has practically no monuments, apart from the 16th-century church standing on a hill, the reconstruction of which has been ongoing for several years.
The main attraction of Star Dorjan is the lake. It is a place of rest eagerly visited by Macedonians. There are grassy beaches, bathing areas, and a promenade along the shore. It is quite crowded in the evenings, you can also use the restaurants and bars.
