Museum van Bommel van Dam
Local name: Museum van Bommel van Dam
Museum of contemporary art run by the Dutch-German Crossart association. It presents temporary exhibitions consisting of the work of painters, sculptors and performative artists operating in the second half of the 20th century.
The museum was created thanks to the donation made by the pair of Amsterdam bankers Maarten and Rein van Bommel-van Dam. In 1969, they donated about 1,200 works of contemporary painters and sculptors. Soon after, an association was formed that currently brings together seven German and four Dutch museums. Thanks to the exchange of collections, this gives the opportunity to organize interesting and very diverse exhibitions.
