Town Hall Haarlem
Local name: Stadhuis Haarlem
The building was built in 1370 on the site of the hunting palace of the Dutch counts and the Dominican monastery. The tower dates from 1913 - the original structure from 1468 was pulled down at the end of the 18th century. In the hall of the town hall there is a plaque commemorating the victims of retaliation for killing a German soldier, Alois Bamberger, in 1943.
