Beer Advertising Museum
Local name: Bierreclame Museum
The Bierreclame Museum has the largest collection of beer ads in the Netherlands. At exhibitions covering several floors, about a thousand enamel signs and posters advertising old beers were collected. They come primarily from 1900-1960. You can also see brewing machines, neon lights, ashtrays, mugs and other accessories related to beer and brewing. Most of the exhibits come from countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Great Britain and the Netherlands.
The museum is located near the city center. It was officially opened in 1990. They were founded by Jan Hemmer, who initially collected beer commercials and gadgets, and finally decided to make them available for public viewing.
