Palazzo Falson is a 13th-century building, one of the oldest in Mdina. Established as a residence of the Falson family. It has been made available to the public since 2007 as the Palazzo Falson Historic House Museum. It consists of 17 rooms with full equipment and a collection of thousands of exhibits - paintings, furniture, oriental rugs, old silverware, unique books and jewelry.
The most valuable exhibits are presented in a room called the Treasury. It has a collection of over 800 pieces of silver, headed by a 16th-century nephew - cast in the smallest detail, a miniature ship, which was a kind of container for personal cutlery, napkins, with containers for spices. The collection of small arms and firearms is also impressive, the oldest copies of which come from the 16th century.
The museum owes its collection to the last owner of the palace Olof Frederick Gollcher (1889-1962), an officer in the British army and the Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John. His will was that the house and the collection collected over the decades would become public property after his death.
