Vilnius cathedral

The cathedral is one of the most beautiful and important churches in Vilnius. The history of the cathedral dates back to the 13th century and its origins are controversial. In the place of today's building, in the period before Christianization, there was a temple of the Slavic god Perkun. Today it is the burial place of the great Lithuanian dukes and kings of Poland.
