The Lower Castle is a reconstruction of the former seat of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and Polish kings. It is part of the Vilnius castle complex and is located on the cathedral square. It is estimated that it was built during the reign of Alexander the Jagiellonian, in the 15th / 16th century. In 2009, after several years of renovation, the castle was made available to visitors who can admire the restored chambers, cloisters and the courtyard.
