The Roman Catholic cathedral was built in the second half of the 12th century after the city was destroyed by the troops of Frederick Barbarossa. It is an example of Romanesque architectural art. The interior was significantly modified in the 17th-18th centuries. The original floor and the apse have been preserved. Other notable features include the paintings of Filippo Lippi and his students.
