San Nicola Arcella is a town on the Calabrian coast. It is situated on a high cliff with a small beach at the foot of it. The town provides good conditions for relaxation away from the crowds and beautiful views of the coast.
The advantage of the village is its location on a cliff with a height of 110 m above sea level. Thanks to this, you can admire beautiful views of the coast. The buildings descend in terraces towards the small, secluded beach of San Nicola Arcella, where you can rent leisure equipment in the season.
The coast around San Nicola Arcella is very varied. There are numerous bays and capes, often rocky, with steep shores. There are small beaches in the coves. One of the attractions of San Nicola Arcella is the rock arch of Arco Magno. The Arco Magno beach offers a good view of this original rock formation.
The Crawford Tower rises on one of the headlands in the vicinity of the town. It is a stone residential tower in which the American writer Francis Marion Crawford lived in the 19th century.
