The Zoology Museum is dedicated to biodiversity in the animal world. In his collection there are over 5 million unique specimens, starting with a few millimeter shells of shellfish and ending with a 16-meter whale. To add variety to the tour, interactive stands and 3D reconstructions have been prepared. The property boasts a valuable collection of birds of the father of Italian ornithology - Count Arrigoni degli Oddi.
The museum was founded in the first half Of the twentieth century and continues the tradition of papal nature collections from the late eighteenth century. The initiators of the undertaking were the University of La Sapienza and the commune of Rome. Most collections come with donations.
