LunEur is the largest amusement park in Rome and the oldest in Italy. Its history dates back to 1953. On the area of over 7 ha, over 35 attractions have been prepared, directed mainly to children under 12 years of age. Small restaurants, snack-bars and designated picnic areas allow you to regenerate before the next madness. The showcase of the amusement park is the huge Ferris wheel Routa Panoramica, from whose chairs the entire panorama of Rome can be seen perfectly.
The amusement park was founded at the site of the agricultural fair. The facility operated until 2008, when it was closed due to necessary renovation works. The modernization of the park cost nearly EUR 21 million, and its re-opening took place in 2016. Most of the original attractions were demolished and replaced with new ones.
The full name of the park is Luna Park Permanente di Roma, while its abbreviated version comes from the Eur district in which the object is located.
