The church of San Giacomo in Augusta in Rome was built in the 17th century. The vaulting of the temple is covered with frescoes by Silverio Capparoni. A valuable monument is also the main altar made of marble from the Augustus Mausoleum, by Carlo Maderna.
The church is famous for the painting "Madonna dei Miracoli", which is attributed to miraculous properties. It was the name of another Roman church in Piazza del Popolo - Santa Maria dei Miracoli. Francis of Paola, by Pierre Le Gros.
The temple has seventeenth-century works of such artists as: Passignano, Giuseppe Passeri, Antiveduto Gramatica and Domenico Cresti. The historic statue with the image of Saint James is also worth attention - the work of Ippolito Buzzi of Viggi.
