Predazzo is a year-round holiday resort in the Dolomites. In winter, there is a large ski center here, and in summer, the area is famous for its beautiful hiking trails.
The town is situated in the famous Val Gardena valley and is its largest center. In addition to the historic center with traditional buildings, a nice Gothic church, there are also estates consisting of hotels, guesthouses and holiday apartments. However, all of them are kept in a traditional Alpine style. Local customs and traditions are cultivated in Predazzo. There are processions on the occasion of church ceremonies, ceremonial driving of cattle to pastures and fairs.
In winter, Predazzo is connected by a cable car to the Ski Center Latemar ski area. Another ski arena, Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, is located a few kilometers from the town. Cross-country skiing is not possible in Predazzo itself, but there are several routes in the area that lead through the lower parts of the valley. The main attraction of Predazzo is the Trampolino Dal Ben ski jump complex, where the 2003 and 2013 World Championships were held.
Summer in Predazzo is all about hiking. There are many beautiful trails in the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park. You can also visit its Educational Center and deer demonstration farm.
