Bolzano Cathedral

The beautiful cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption is the most important church in Bolzano. Only the foundations of the original Romanesque basilica have remained, as the church was rebuilt many times. The building is an example of Gothic architecture, often compared with Paris's Notre Dame. In 2007, a museum was opened next to the church, in which the treasures of the cathedral are presented.
