Volcanic caldera near Naples, part of the larger volcanic area of Campi Flegrei. It is still an active and active caldera, which emits sulfur fumes with a temperature of 100-300 degrees Celsius. Within the caldera there are a puddle of sulfuric muds that "boil" at high temperatures, and numerous fissures from which steam is released. For this reason, in antiquity, this place was considered one of the descents to Hades.
