Roman villa from the 2nd century BC located outside the defensive walls of Pompeii. It was built as a farm, and after the earthquake of 65 AD it was decorated with elaborate frescoes depicting the Dionysian mysteries.
In the main hall, the circumference of which is 17 m to a height of 3 m, there is a composition with 29 figures depicting the course of the entire mysteries. The villa also features frescoes with Egyptian motifs, scenes of dances with satire and architectural elements.Less
