The ruins of an ancient theater erected in the 3rd century BC. During its heyday, 5,000 spectators could sit in its audience in 19 rows. Fragments of the seats, the brick-lined stage and the proscenium building behind it have survived to our times. In the vicinity of the theater, there is a rectangular portico where the audience waited for the performance to begin. It is now known as the Portico of the Gladiators, as it was later used as their barracks.
