St. Peter is part of the complex of the former Benedictine abbey in Perugia. It was founded in the 10th century and it flourished in the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
Initially, a Romanesque temple stood here, which was demolished in the 16th century and rebuilt in the Renaissance style. The interior of the church is richly decorated with Renaissance frescoes and paintings with scenes from the Old and New Testaments.Less
