The most important church of Padua, standing on the site of the first local basilica built in the 4th century. The cathedral is a mix of styles from different eras, and its appearance has changed many times. It is adjacent to the Romanesque baptistery, covered with frescoes inside. The interior of the cathedral is very strict and almost devoid of decorations. Contrast with it the decor of the presbytery in the form of modern sculptures of saints associated with the city, made in the 21st century.
