St. John the Greater Basilica

Local name: Basilica San Giovanni Maggiore

The church was built in the 4th century for the gratitude of Emperor Constantine the Great for saving his daughter from the shipwreck. The monumental temple was entered in the register of Italian monuments. The basilica has been rebuilt several times over the centuries and now represents the baroque and neoclassical style.
