The former monastery of St. Klara built in the fourteenth century in the central part of Naples. The largest gothic church in the city was destroyed during the bombing during World War II and rebuilt in 1953. The raw, somewhat empty interior of the church contrasts with the preserved cloisters and garden. Gothic, ogival passages were decorated in the 17th century with baroque paintings, while the architectural elements of the garden received ornaments made of ceramic tiles depicting plants and genre scenes.
