Palazzo Italia is a six-storey building with an original and very complex facade, reminiscent of a tangled network. His project was created in the Italian architectural studio Nemesi & Partners. The body was created for the needs of the World Exhibition in Milan in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, which led the idea of the fair. The building is also one of the few that will permanently occupy the city space after Expo 2015.
The concept of Palazzo Italia was based on the phrase "urban forest". It is also consistent with the flagship Expo 2015 - "Feeding the planet, energy for life". The façade is made of a material that according to the manufacturer purifies the air, accelerating the decomposition of various substances. It also has a positive effect on reducing urban smog. The building is also equipped with ecological photovoltaic panels located on the roof.
