The Bagatti Valsecchi Museum is housed in the historic Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi residence in the center of Milan's fashion district. The museum was solemnly opened in 1994. It is run by Fondazione Bagatti Valsecchi, which aims to preserve the family collections and make them available to a wide audience, as well as to promote culture. The institution presents collections of Renaissance and Neo-Renaissance art, paintings, sculptures, decorative elements, antique furniture and volumes. Among the museum's collection, paintings of Giovanni Bellini, Gentile Bellini, Giampietrin and Lorenzo di Niccolo deserve special attention.
The interiors of the palace themselves are also worth seeing, in a well-preserved Renaissance style. Most of the rooms have authentic decor from before World War II.
