Island of the Barges

The lookout was designed by Renzo Piano on the occasion of the G8 summit in 2001, and is named after the composer Luciano Berio. It is a floating structure made up of many old barges. The place is full of charm thanks to the panorama, the view of the hill-tops of the city, as well as sounds such as creaking docks, rolling boats on the water and the screams of gulls.
