The baroque Jesuit church, which dates back to the sixth century, owes its present appearance to the reconstruction of the second half of the sixteenth century, when it received a facade topped with a tympanum and a magnificent interior design. Its decorations were made by the most important Genoese artists of the Baroque era. On the vaults and walls, in addition to stucco decorations, you can see frescoes with scenes from the Holy Bible. There are also two paintings by Rubens in the church.
