The column was built to commemorate St. Zenobiusz probably at the beginning of the 14th century. It has the form of a high marble pillar crowned with a cross and decorated with the image of a tree. According to tradition, it stands in the place where a withered elm once stood, which after accidental contact with the saint's relics, wonderfully greened.
