Basilica of San Lorenzo

The temple was built on the site of a Romanesque basilica from the 4th century AD is the work of the famous Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi. The building was erected during the 15th and 16th centuries. Its facade was designed by Michelangelo, but his concept was not implemented - the effect is the raw face of the building.
