The magnet attracting tourists to the museum founded in 1784 are above all the famous works of Michelangelo: a statue of the biblical David and two of the four unfinished statues called "Prisoners", which were to decorate the tomb of Pope Julius II. Next to them you can admire the works of Botticelli, Rafael Santi and many other geniuses of painting.
