Amphitheatre of Catania

The Roman theater is located in the historic center of the city. It comes from the 2nd century and was discovered and disclosed at the end of the 19th century. Originally it was about 80 meters in diameter and could hold about 7,000 spectators. In the east it borders on a smaller theater called Odeon.
