Cathedral of Santa Maria La Nova

This beautiful cathedral was built in the mid-16th century and renovated in 1943 after the war bombings. The simple, austere facade conceals a richly decorated interior. You can admire a crucifix from the 17th century, a figure of St. Michael, the patron saint of the city, as well as recently restored frescoes.
