Piazza Maggiore

This is the central square in Bologna, which is the heart of the city. Its layout has remained largely unchanged since the 15th century. The square is surrounded by important administrative and religious buildings such as Palazzo d'Accursio, Palazzo dei Notai and the Basilica of San Petronio.
