Park of Montagnola

This is the oldest park in Bologna, available to visitors since 1664. His current appearance is the result of the reconstruction of the early nineteenth century, when Napoleon Bonaparte ordered the architect G. B Marinetti to redesign it in the French style. The park features the ruins of the 14th-century Castello di Galliera and the monumental stairs designed by Tito Azzolini and Attilio Muggia.
