A church in a rock cave dedicated to the cult of St. Gellert (980-1046) was created at the place of death of the bishop, who the pagans dropped from the rock into the Danube. After World War II, during the communist rule, the entrance to the temple was bricked up. Grotto restored sacred functions in 1989.
