Freedom Square

Established at the end of the 19th century, the square is known for its interesting Art Nouveau buildings and numerous monuments, including the monument dedicated to the victims of the Nazi occupation. There is also a monument to Red Army soldiers, and in front of the US Embassy headquarters a sculpture depicting Major General Harry Hill Bandholtz.
