The neoclassical church of Saint Nicholas, the patron of sailors, was built in the first half of the 19th century in the vicinity of the port of Piraeus. The patron's relics have been kept there since 2011. It is a monumental building with a two-tower facade, a column portico and an elevated blue dome.
