The facility opened in 2002 is the club stadium of the VfL Wolfsburg football team. Noteworthy is the roof of the stadium, consisting of 40-meter trusses, which form a scaffolding for a fireproof PVC membrane. The membrane is translucent, which, according to designers, improves the atmosphere at the stadium and promotes the natural growth of turf.
