One of the oldest shopping streets in Lipska. Until World War II, it was known as a place of fur and tobacco trade. The composer Richard Wagner was born in one of the local houses. Its buildings were largely destroyed during the Allied air raids. Currently, after years of neglect, it regains its former reputation. Tenements that were gradually rebuilt are the seat of fashionable shops.
