Church of St. Nicholas

One of the most famous churches in Leipzig. The Gothic building was a meeting place of the opposition during the communist period. The interior of the church was completely remodeled in the 18th century. It was given a classical look. Paintings appeared on the walls, and the pillars were covered with stucco decorations so as to resemble Roman columns.
