Monastery Ruin Heisterbach
Local name: Klosterruine Heisterbach
The Cistercian abbey, whose ruins can now be visited, was founded in the 12th century. During its heyday, the Romanesque-Gothic church was almost 90 m long and 44 m wide. Only the apse with part of the choir has survived to modern times.
